Work of Art - Skate Park

This is a post from a proud mother. As part of my son, Dario's, final design project in his final year at school, he designed and created a skatepark model. This measures approximately four feet by three feet. It is made from wood with metal trims, and the detail, as you can see from the photos, is intricate. He had his last day at school today and now he must study for his final exams. Next year he will study architecture at college.

I'd say he has a dazzling future ahead of him.
Wow.

One can only hope so, Raine. He is truly talented, but, as we know well, talent is only half the battle in this world.

Lol, drier. Can you tell my dryer is on and driving me nuts with the noise. When I have a house the laundry facilities will be in the basement. :D

Thank you, Nancy, I am proud of him.
For a change we have a sunny weekend. Usually we get the fine weather during the working week and then it rains at the weekend. Murphy's Law.

WOW! That is a totally cool design. I don't skateboard, but I would imagine a skatepark like that would be a skaterboarder's dream!

What a great design!
Even for non-skateboarders, I think its a beauty to look at and enjoy!
Very sweet post, Suzanne, thanks for sharing.

Erica, I wanted him to put little skateboarders on the model but then there was a question of proportions so it didn't happen. Would have been cute though.

Amazing detail, he did a great job with the metal trim - looks very real.

Thanks Evan. He certainly took his time with the detail and in his research for just the right materials for each section.
