I'm back and can hardly believe that my holiday in Las Vegas is all over. Time passes so quickly.
The photo on the left is me in the Venetian Hotel. The hotels in Vegas are incredible. They are ornate, themed and immense. We spent most of our time lost trying to find the way out to the street.
The photo below is of my sister, Margot, (on the left) and my friend, Genevieve at Disneyland, where we stayed on our last day in the USA.
I came home to find out that I have been chosen as a ParaNormal Romance Reviewer "Top Pick" for February 2009 with my book, Crash into Darkness. This is the permalink to the feature. I am honored to be in the company of Christine Feehan and other great writers.
Anyway, it is time to get out of holiday mode and back into work mode. Life can be very sad.

Honey, sounds like you had a wonderful trip, enjoyed the company of your friends, and came home to find you'd been honored with yet another writing award.
That ain't sad at all.
Welcome back, and congratulations!
It was a great trip, Raine. Always too short but I can start planning for the next one. I'm going to the movies this afternoon then back into the writing, I guess, and work on Monday.

Good to hear that you enjoyed your trip!
And that's awesome about the award; Congrats!
You have to be the only person I know who knows who Sai Baba is...not that I find that all surprising.
Suzanne, what fantastic! photos and I loved your post. :D You must have had such a busy and grand time of it.
SUPER CONGRATS! on your TOP PICK award!!! It's well-deserved.
I'm sorry it was so cold in Vegas. We were at -4F this morn. I can't WAIT until the ground starts thawing.
Hugs, Nancy
Thanks, Tina-Sue. Sai Baba was very big in my mother's life for a long time. She has moved on to other related things but still talks about her visit to see him.

Nancy, we did have a great time despite the cold, which is all relative. To you it would have been heavenly warm. Thanks for the congrats.

A good vacation is always a little too short, I think!
Welcome home!
You're right, Heather.Even a long holiday can fly away if you're having fun.

Suzanne, wild wave, dear friend. :D
Are you missing the states? My parents travel to Vegas once in a while and always have a great time.
All is well here. Temps in the 40s.
Hugs, Nancy
Yes, Nancy, I am missing the States. I wish I were back there. You have such a diverse country that it would take years to get even only an overview of it. I will be back.

I've been to Vegas a few times with work. Each time, I got sick of walkign through miles of casino and slot machines just to get to my room.
Mark, I must admit that is a problem. At first it's hard just to find the elevator, then it becomes boring walking for ages to get there. We got lost in different hotels many times.
