Roman Forum

I have decided to blog more often but with much shorter posts. These are photos of the Roman Forum in Rome. This area was the centre of city life in ancient Rome. That's me and my husband in the first photo. The two with blue sky are from Wikipedia. It rained most of the way through the Forum and I liked their blue sky better than our grey one.
Walking through this place transports you to another time and the ruins take shape and become undamaged buildings in your imagination. Isn't Rome amazing?

I bet it does transport you. How could it not with all those wonderful old places? One of these days I'll get there. Right now, the biggest problem is time more than anything. Nice to see a picture of you and your husband.

You do seem awfully busy with family right now, Sandpiper. There are times in our lives for different things. Your time for travelling will come sooner or later.

I can almost imagine being there. A busy forum, filled with people who'd probably never imagine their way of life would ever end...

Raine, I imagine the clothes, the forms of transport, the colors on the buildings and yes, they probably seldom looked this far forward, but then do most of us today really think that far in the future?

Incredible.
Yes, they do. I can hear the voices.

Now, I'm more visual, Bernita. Next time I will listen for those voices.
