I have had some splendid news. Back in February I entered two of my published books, Crash into Darkness and Beneath the Surface, into the Romance Writers of Australia Ruby Awards for published books. Both books have finalled in the Romantic Elements category. The other two finalists, Maggie Alderson and Bronwyn Parry, are very stiff competition.
The winners will be announced at the RW of Australia conference in August so an extra trip this year is looming - across the Tasman Sea to Brisbane.
The photo above is an example of the award and I reckon that could look pretty fine on my study desk.

Very proud of you, hon!! :)
Thanks, Raine. A published writing friend here in New Zealand suggested I enter a few competitions and I did. This and the EPPIE nominee is the result. Whether it helps in any way, I don't know but many swear by it.

That's terrific news, Suzanne! Congrats!!
SQUEE!!! Suzanne!!! I loooove your writing and hope you win!!!
All is well here. I'm recuperated for the most part and looking forward to a delightful summer. :D
Number two contract is official and I am finishing up the project.
My daughters have my book already while I wait for my copies to arrive. They pre-ordered and received it early. How funny they are seeing it before I do.
Hugs, Nancy
Thank you, Heather. It certainly is encouraging news.

I hope I win too, nancy, but it's out of my hands. Your daughters must be so proud to show everyone your book. I can't wait to see it.
Look after yourself.

Lainey, please keep visualizing that. Thanks for dropping by.

Hi Suzanne,
Please accept my belated but heartfelt congratulations on the Ruby Awards!
Thanks, Tina. I will be attending the conference awards dinner in Brisbane in a couple of weeks. Then I will find out if I finally win something or not.
